Sustainability

The City of Corning has a long history of implementing sustainable projects and initiatives. With each project our approach has been to benefit the environment, strengthen our finances, and improve the community. 

In a world of limited resources that are diminishing, it is important for project planners and developers to think of technologies and practices that will reduce the impact of projects and operations on the environment, stabilize City finances, and improve quality of life for our residents and visitors.  

Below is a list of sustainable projects and initiatives we have compiled.  This list will be expanded as we document additional past and current efforts.
