A variety of sporting licenses are available at the Clerk's office. The sporting season runs annually from October 1 - September 30, with sales of new licenses beginning mid-August. In order to obtain a sporting license, the following requirements must be fulfilled:

If you are a New York State resident, you must show proof of residency such as a valid driver's license.

If bowhunting for the first time, you must show a Bowhunter Safety Training Certificate.

If hunting for the first time, you must show a Hunter Safety Training Certificate.

If you were issued previous licenses from the DECALS system, your valid driver's license for identification is all that is required.
