Corning Youth Hockey Information

Then, mail this form to Parks and Recreation, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Corning, NY 14830 The City of Corning Parks & Recreation Department runs these hockey programs:
Tot Hockey I:
Ages 4-5: Wednesdays at 5:00 – 5:45 p.m.
This is a learn to skate program, with a hockey theme. No sticks are used until February. Focus is on skating skills and fun. Required equipment includes helmet with face mask, and knee & elbow pads. Kids must be 4 by December 1st. Players who progress rapidly can move up to the Tot Hockey II Division during the season, with coach’s permission.
FEE is $75 per child (includes jersey); Begins November 29.
Tot Hockey II:
Ages 5-6: Mondays at 5:30 – 6:15 p.m.
This program is for graduates of Tot Hockey I or our Bears/Tigers skating program. Kids will start using hockey sticks after the first two weeks. Focus is on basic skills and fun. Required equipment includes helmet with face mask, hockey shin guards, gloves & elbow pads. Kids must be 5 by December 1st.
FEE is $75 per child (includes jersey); Begins November 27.
Sharks Division:
Ages 6-7: Tuesdays at 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
This program combines basic hockey instruction with fun. Children must be tot hockey graduates or able to skate on their own to enter this program. Occasional half-ice scrimmages. Required equipment includes helmet with face mask, elbow pads & hockey shin guards and gloves, stick.
FEE is $100 per child (includes jersey); Begins November 28.
Rangers Division:
Ages 7-8: Saturdays at 11:30 – 12:30 p.m.
This program is for 7 – 8 year olds and offers a full hour of ice time. Focus is on skating and hockey skill development. Fun scrimmage games are often conducted towards the end of practice periods. Required equipment includes hockey helmet with face mask, mouth guard, elbow pads, hockey shin guards and pants, stick & gloves.
FEE is $125 per child (includes a jersey). Begins November 18.
